Spring?
It is hard to think of Spring when you have 5 to 7 inches of snow on the ground. Yesterday was a snowy day, my son had our truck, so I was pretty much stuck in the house. So I baked some cupcakes and started some seeds in the garage. Getting out those seed packets lifted my spirits! I love watching the seeds sprout into little plants.Yes, someday soon I will be able to plant these in my garden.

Wonderful! I think a lot of us are WAITING for Spring! It will come! I would like to ask just how you grow your little plants? Do you have grow lights? I have not had much luck with doing it by a window. Just not enough light there.
Yes, I have a grow light in my basement. What I do is I use clear plastic cups, fill them with potting soil, mist the soil with water, sprinkle the seeds on top, mist again, cover the plastic cup with saran wrap and put a rubber band around the top to secure the plastic. It acts like a mini greenhouse. Once the sprouts are touching the saran wrap, I remove it. I try to mist the seedlings every day. Hope that makes sense! I am so ready for Spring. I love working in my garden - fresh herbs and fresh veggies - nothing better than that!
